  • Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until it runs clear, then soak for 15 minutes and drain, this is the key to fluffy, separate grains.

  • Melt the butter and sauté the onion with the cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon, and cumin seeds for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.

  • Add the drained rice and stir gently for 1 minute to coat.
  • Pour in the water and Renzo Chicken Stock Powder, stir once, and bring to a boil.
  • Cover, reduce the heat to low, and cook 12–15 minutes until the water is absorbed.

  • Turn off the heat and rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
